Sthira (sthēˑ·rä) “stability” one of the practices of moral obersvance (yama); According to the Gheranda-Samahitā (1.10), it is also called sthitatā (“firmness”). The Bhagavad-Gītā (13.7) treats it as a manifestation of wisdon (jnāna).
